Day 01
Arrival and Exploring Amber Fort, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar
- Morning
Your Jaipur heritage tour starts when you arrive in Jaipur. Whether you come by plane, train, or car, your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel. Check in, relax for a bit, and get ready for a fun day.
- Late Morning: Amber Fort
First stop is Amber Fort, about 11 kilometers from the city. This big fort was built in the 1500s and sits on a hill with great views. Inside, you’ll see pretty rooms like the Sheesh Mahal, where mirrors cover the walls. If you’re lucky, you can ride an elephant up to the entrance—it feels like being a king or queen! Spend about 2-3 hours here exploring.
- Lunch
After the fort, enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. Try tasty Rajasthani food like Dal Baati Churma (lentils with bread) or spicy curries. It’s a great way to taste local flavors.
- Afternoon: City Palace
Next, head to the City Palace in the heart of Jaipur. This place was home to Jaipur’s royal family, and part of it is still their house! Walk through beautiful courtyards, see old clothes, weapons, and paintings in the museums, and feel the royal vibe. You’ll spend around 2 hours here.
- Late Afternoon: Jantar Mantar
Just a short walk from City Palace is Jantar Mantar. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, it’s an old place to study the sky. It has huge stone tools, like a giant sundial, that tell time and track stars. Your guide will explain how they work—it’s pretty amazing! This takes about 1 hour.
- Evening: Hawa Mahal
As the sun starts to set, drive by Hawa Mahal, the "Palace of Winds." This pink building has 953 tiny windows and looks like a honeycomb. It was made so royal ladies could watch the streets without being seen. Stop for photos—it’s super pretty in the evening light.
- Dinner
Head back to your hotel or a nice restaurant for dinner. Enjoy more yummy food and relax after a busy day.
- Overnight
Sleep well at your hotel, ready for more adventure tomorrow.
Day 02
Museum and Heritage Walk
-
- Morning: Albert Hall Museum
After breakfast, visit the Albert Hall Museum. It’s the oldest museum in Rajasthan and full of cool stuff like paintings, statues, and carpets. You’ll learn about Jaipur’s past and see beautiful art. This takes about 2 hours.
- Late Morning: Heritage Walk
Now, take a guided walk through Jaipur’s old city. Start at Hawa Mahal to see it up close, then wander through busy streets. Visit small temples, smell spices in the air, and stop at markets like Johari Bazaar (for jewelry) and Bapu Bazaar (for clothes and crafts). This is your chance to shop for gifts or just soak in the culture. The walk lasts around 2 hours.
- Lunch
Enjoy lunch at a local spot. Try more Rajasthani dishes or something simple like rice and curry.
- Afternoon: Free Time
After lunch, you’ve got some free time. Keep shopping in the markets, relax at the hotel, or add an extra stop like Jaigarh Fort (a fort with a big cannon) or Nahargarh Fort (great views). These extras might cost more—ask your guide.
- Evening: Departure
Time to say goodbye to Jaipur! Your guide will help you get to the airport, station, or wherever you’re headed next. Take home awesome memories of your Jaipur heritage tour.
